A new website. A bigger vision. The same passion for fishing, people, travel, and the Amazon.
For years, Jungle Fishing has been built around one simple thing: my love for fishing the Amazon.
What started with trips into the jungle chasing peacock bass eventually became much more than that. It became about the people I met along the way, the places most anglers will never get to see, the incredible fish that live in these waters, and the stories that come from spending days — sometimes weeks — deep in the Amazon.
Today, Jungle Fishing is entering a new chapter.
And this new website is a big part of it.
More Than Just Fishing
I've always believed that the Amazon is one of the greatest fishing destinations on Earth.
There is nothing quite like making a long run down a remote river, hearing howler monkeys somewhere in the trees, watching macaws fly overhead and knowing that at any moment a giant peacock bass can absolutely destroy a topwater bait.
But Jungle Fishing has never been only about catching fish.
It's about the entire experience.
The travel.
The people.
The culture.
The rivers.
The wildlife.
The adventure.
And yes — the unbelievable fishing.
My goal with the new Jungle Fishing is to bring more of that experience to anglers around the world.
A Home for Amazon Fishing
One of the reasons we created this new website was because I wanted Jungle Fishing to become a true resource for anyone interested in fishing the Amazon and other incredible fisheries throughout South America.
There is a lot of information online about Amazon fishing, but it can be difficult to know what is accurate, what is current, and what actually matters when you're preparing for a trip.
I want to help change that.
Here you'll find information based on real time spent on the water — not just information collected from behind a computer.
We'll talk about things like:

- Different Amazon species
- Remote rivers and regions

And as Jungle Fishing continues to grow, we'll go well beyond the Amazon too.
South America has some of the most incredible freshwater fishing opportunities anywhere in the world, and there are still so many places and species we want to explore.
The Stories Behind the Fish
Video has become a huge part of Jungle Fishing.
When we travel into the Amazon now, we're not simply trying to capture someone catching a big fish.
We're trying to tell the story of what it actually feels like to be there.
Sometimes that story is an incredible topwater bite.
Sometimes it's battling brutal conditions for days before everything finally comes together.
Sometimes it's a giant fish.
And sometimes the most memorable part of a trip has nothing to do with fishing at all.
Those are the stories I want Jungle Fishing to tell.
Our films will continue to be a major part of what we do, and this new website gives us a place to go deeper into each adventure — sharing the locations, conditions, tactics, equipment, species and lessons behind what you see on screen.
Helping Anglers Fish the Amazon Better
One thing that has always been important to me is helping people have a better experience in the Amazon.
Whether someone has been fishing there for twenty years or they're just beginning to dream about their first Amazon peacock bass trip, I want Jungle Fishing to be useful to them.
I've made plenty of mistakes over the years.
I've brought the wrong equipment.
I've used the wrong tackle.
I've learned what works and what doesn't.
I've watched river conditions completely change a fishery.
I've experienced unbelievable fishing and extremely difficult fishing.
And I've been fortunate enough to spend time with guides, lodge operators and anglers who understand these rivers at an incredible level.
There is a lot we can share.
If something we've learned can help another angler catch one more fish, pack a little better, choose the right lure or simply enjoy the Amazon more, then I think we're doing something worthwhile.
Chasing More Than Peacock Bass
Peacock bass will always be at the heart of Jungle Fishing.
There may be no freshwater fish I enjoy chasing more.
But one of the things I'm most excited about for the future is expanding the stories we tell.
Arapaima.
Arowana.
Payara.
Redtail catfish.
Piraíba.
Wolf fish.
Golden dorado.
And many other species across South America and eventually around the world.
There are incredible fisheries, cultures and stories waiting to be explored.
And I want Jungle Fishing to take you there with us.
The New Jungle Fishing
This website is only the beginning.
Over time, we'll continue adding fishing reports, educational content, destination information, species guides, equipment recommendations, films, behind-the-scenes stories and tools that help anglers better understand these fisheries.
But even as Jungle Fishing grows, I don't want to lose what made me fall in love with this in the first place.
I love fishing.
I love traveling.
And probably most importantly, I love people.
Fishing has given me an incredible opportunity to combine all three.
It has taken me to places I never imagined I'd visit and introduced me to people from completely different parts of the world who somehow feel like old friends within a few hours of sharing a boat.
That's what Jungle Fishing is about.
Big fish are part of the story.
But they're not the whole story.
This next chapter is about sharing more of those experiences, exploring more incredible places, helping more anglers and showing the fishing world just how special the Amazon — and South America — really are.
